Celebrating National Farmers Market Week
Now in its 23rd year, National Farmers Market Week (NFMW) is an annual celebration that highlights the vital role farmers markets play in the nation’s food system. Amidst global change, it is now more important than ever to showcase the importance of farmers markets in our communities! NFMW officially runs from August 7th through the 13th, but the Growers Market will be celebrating on August 6th and 13th.
We would like you to join us to celebrate our farmers, vendors, partners, sponsors, Market Manager, Volunteers, and our Board of Directors. Without them, your Growers Market wouldn't be able to operate. Its important for our market to provide consistency, inclusivity, diversity, and access to affordable and healthy farm-fresh produce.
Come Celebrate with Us!
We would like to first thank Town of Fuquay-Varina Mayor Blake Massingill for issuing a Farmers Market Week proclamation highlighting the importance of Farmers Market and the role of our Growers Market in promoting healthy eating, active living opportunities, and connections between farmers and community members. Join us at the Growers Market on August 6th and 13th for live music, free samples, and Kiddy Corner activities.
Cast your vote today for your Fuquay-Varina Growers Market and help us win $5,000 to support local farms and healthy communities. Voting closes on September 19, 2022.
Tell us what you love about us by writing on our #LoveOurMarket whiteboard.
